Recreate the City

Graffiti is part of Hip Hop sub-culture. The importance of graffiti is not the only regard to visual aesthetics. But, Their value originates from their presence in the urban contexts. In this perspective, the signs can remake and recreate new meaning in/for the city. The graffiti meanings indicate the youth culture and their resistance to make their collective identities. In the project, I attempted to study the sort of graffiti's into the Tehran as depiction paths of youths identification by themselves. The "Recreate of the city" Project, for the first time, showed in "Two Cities: Tehran and Dortmund" exhibitions in Tehran and Dortmund.
